PDO 2016 week: Workshop with US Embassy – MINESEC in BUEA

  PDO 2016 Workshop with US EMBASSY – MINESEC and YES Program in Buea.

 

This day was marked by the presence of Mr Ebome Paul Tiko (The Technical Adviser n°1 from the Ministry of the Secondary Education), Ngundu Francis Mokomba (the Regional Delegate of Buea), Lois Ebenye Ikome (the principal of Lycee de Molyko Buea), Njok Bibum Aloysius (the principal of the school of deaf), Komela Micheal (the principal of Frank Fils comprehensive college), Abebema Marcellous(vice Pricipal GBHS Molyko Buea), Parents and YES Staff . Activities started with a welcome speech and a brief presentation of the YES program by the National Coordinator of the YES program, François Donfack. Thereafter, there was a speech by Mr Ebome Paul Tiko (The Technical Adviser n°1 at the Ministry of the Secondary Education also expressed the joy for the Ministry of Secondary Education), he thanked Coordinator François and staff for the great job they did and encourage the YES’14 Finalists in their choice of becoming cultural ambassador for, they will have to represent Cameroon in the US. He particularly talked about Family life in USA, US laws and implications for exchange student, Mr Ngundu Francis Mokomba (the Regional Delegate of Buea), also expressed the joy for the Ministry of Education each year to see some Cameroonians benefit from the scholarship offered by the YES program. Also, he urged the Finalists to become ambassadors of Cameroon in their respective host communities in the US.
